“Spirit Hawk” | Anthony Satori
“We are like islands in the sea, separate on the surface, but connected in the deep.”
– William James
“Heaven-Born Things” | Anthony Satori
“What springs from earth dissolves to earth again, and heaven-born things fly to their native seat.”
– Marcus Aurelius
We are immortal spiritual beings. Never doubt this. Never forget it. We are visiting this physical realm for just a brief moment, temporarily experiencing the wonder and challenge of living in physical bodies made up of water, heat, and stardust. But where we truly live is another realm: the spiritual realm. It is here that we know our true selves: Beings of Pure Consciousness, Light, and Love. It is here that we commune with our collective higher mind, where we have access to endless self-realized power and joy, where we see and love God directly, and where we are seen and loved directly by God, in return.
Make the most of this physical experience while you are here. It is not to be discounted. It is a gift to be cherished. Do your best to live a life of purpose, gratitude, and love. And then, when the time comes, take solace in the knowledge that we will shed these atoms and cells, gratefully returning them to the earth from which they came, and we will fly to our native seat in heaven.
“Cormorants on the Wind” | Anthony Satori
“More and more it seems to me that the ordering of nature is an art akin to music – fugues in a shell, counterpoints in fibers, throbbing rhythms in waves of sound, light, and nerve. And oneself is connected with it quite inextricably – an electronic interweaving of paths, circuits, and impulses that stretch and hum throughout the whole of time and space.”
– Alan Watts
“Compassion and Strength” –|– Anthony Satori
Compassion and strength are not mutually exclusive. In fact, they are not even at odds. True compassion is rooted in carefully cultivated principles, universal love, and clear-eyed reason. This highest version of compassion both informs and enhances strength by imbuing it with righteousness, clarity, and drive. True strength, in the same way, is rooted in wisdom, self-discipline, and courage. This highest version of strength empowers compassion by providing it with the peace and security it needs to perform at the highest levels of efficacy, humaneness, and virtue.
