Whether one is religious or not, in my opinion this stands as one of the most profound and beautiful descriptions of love ever written. It is truly something worthy of our aspiration.

Every day, every moment, the universe is patiently waiting for us to pull softly on the strings of the blinds and let its light flow in.  Take a deep breath, calm your thoughts, and center your spirit.  And then mindfully take action toward something good.  Take action toward love, hope, kindness.  Take action toward health, joy, deeper understanding.  Even the smallest such act, done with a genuine heart, is an invitation for the universe to immerse us in its benevolent light.

Just a few short weeks after NASA landed the Insight rover on the surface of Mars, the Chinese space program successfully landed a probe on the previously unexplored “dark side” of the moon.  What wonderful accomplishments!  I cannot wait to find out what we see, what we discover, and what we can all learn from these missions.  Science, art, nature, spirituality — these are such crucial areas of exploration, because they each, in their own way, make us realize how we all, as humans, have so much more in common than we have differences between us.
